Limtiaco calls on Phils. consul general in Guam

(U.S. Attorney's Office) The U.S. Attorney for Districts of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, Alicia A.G. Limtiaco, recently paid a courtesy visit to Philippine Consul General to Guam Bayani V. Mangibin.

Limtiaco discussed with Mangibin the various programs and areas of concern of the U.S. Attorney's Office, which includes criminal and civil prosecution, national security issues, human trafficking and cyber crimes, among others.

Limtiaco also emphasized the her office's efforts to reach out to the various stakeholders in the community and expressed appreciation for the Consulate General's continued support and participation in the USAO's outreach activities.

In return, Mangibin thanked Limtiaco for taking the time to visit the Consulate General and for truly reaching out to the community, including the members of the consular corps on island. He likewise mentioned that one of the priorities of the Consulate General is also to reach out and empower the community by providing much needed information to them. He also expressed anticipation of a closer working relationship with the USAO toward the latter part of the year as the Consulate General in Guam assumes consular jurisdiction over the CNMI upon the closure of the Philippine Consulate General on Saipan.
