The University of Guam recently awarded the Dr. John T. Keck Memorial Scholarship to Jhanice Joyce T. Miranda, a junior business major at the UOG School of Business.
The one-time scholarship awards $5,000 to an academically high-achieving student who demonstrates the qualities of a focused business person. The late Dr. Keck's son, James A. “JAK” Keck, an upcoming sophomore under a scholarship at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, presented the award.
The late Dr. Keck was a Professor of Finance at UOG from 1988 to 2004, where he was honored with the Excellence in Teaching Award. The scholarship was established in memory of his dedication to academic excellence and his positive contributions to the UOG community. (PR)
