The CNMI Emergency Management Office said heavy rainfall and thunderstorms will continue to develop over Saipan and Tinian and adjacent coastal waters.
It added that this current weather condition will cause locally heavy rainfall of 2 to 4 inches and occasional lightning and thus advised the public to seek shelter inside their homes or any building if they hear thunder or see lightning.
EMO also warned motorists to be alert for road flooding and near-zero visibility due to the torrential rain. Boaters can also expect reduced visibility to less than one mile and dangerous lightning with the strong rain showers.
EMO will continue to monitor this system and provide updates if it becomes available. (PR)
