All set for Energy Star® CFL Giveaway Program

The Department of Public Works /Division of Energy, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant, office in conjunction with the Commonwealth Utilities Corp., will be holding its first Energy Star® Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs (CFL's) Giveaway Program in an effort to promote energy conservation through the distribution of Energy Star® compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFL's) to help residential consumers reduce energy consumption and cost.

Staff from the Division of Energy will be available at CUC customer service/payment centers on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota to distribute CFLs on the following dates:

-Tinian: Aug. 27-28 from 9am to 3pm

-Rota: Sept. 4-5 from 9am to 3pm

-Saipan: Sept. 17-20 from 9am to 3pm

To receive the CFL Giveaway consisting of four different wattages of CFLs, residential consumers must present their utility billing stub/receipt, complete with their name and customer number. Giveaways are limited to only one per household and while supplies last.
