4 persons arrested for alleged various offenses

Police arrested over the weekend four persons for allegedly committing various offenses on Saipan.

The defendants are Franklin Crisostomo, 32; Lionel Borja, 33; Eduardo Gabito Jr., 33; and Juana A. Pua, 48. They were all taken to the Superior Court yesterday for bail hearing.

Crisostomo were charged with theft by deception after he allegedly used fake Russian Rubles in purchasing several items at Duty Free Shoppers in Garapan on Aug. 24, 2012.

Borja was charged with assault and battery, and disturbing the peace for allegedly driving his car recklessly in the parking of American Memorial Park on the night of Sept. 2, 2012. The defendant then also allegedly punched and kicked a man who shouted at him to slow down.

Gabito was charged with indecent exposure and disturbing the peace for allegedly showing his privates to his female co-worker while he was intoxicated inside her room in San Antonio on Thursday night.

Pua was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, child abuse, assault and battery, and disturbing the peace for allegedly assaulting her minor daughter with a back scratcher at their residence in Tanapag Thursday night.

The child suffered scratch marks on the right arm and injuries on the left leg caused by the scratcher, police said.
