Peter R. Camacho, a police officer who was among those who testified before the House Special Committee on Impeachment, will be transferred to a new assignment in the Department of Public Safety.
Sources disclosed yesterday that Camacho, who is currently assigned with DPS Patrol Section, just received a transfer order from acting DPS commissioner Aniceto Ogumoro.
The order assigns Camacho to the Koban Station in western Garapan effective this Sunday, sources said.
When asked about the transfer, DPS acting spokesman Jason Tarkong said he is currently on special assignment and that he is not aware of it.
Sources said that Camacho was allegedly upset with the new assignment.
Most officers assigned at the Koban are rookies. Camacho is a veteran officer but still has a rank of police officer 1.
According to an after-action report submitted by Office of the Public Auditor chief investigator Juan Santos to the House impeachment panel, DPS deputy commissioner Ambrosio Ogumoro instructed Camacho through the department’s central dispatch to inform OPA investigator Juanette David-Atalig to cease their operation to serve the summons to then attorney general Edward T. Buckingham or DPS will arrest her.
A few months ago, Camacho also filed a grievance complaint against Ogumoro for allegedly subjecting him to bullying, intimidation, and harassment.
