CRIME OF THE WEEK
Burglary at Dandan residence

NMI Crime Stoppers is seeking the community’s assistance for information on a burglary and theft incident on a residence located in Dandan village.

On Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at about 3:40pm, the victim, a local female discovered the crime when she returned home from work. The victim and her husband (a local male) left work earlier that morning. The husband was the last one to leave the house at about 8:35am that morning.

The items stolen include Three Kawasaki Models TD43 Bush Cutters, one Sony Vaio laptop computer, one Acer laptop computer, one Toshiba 32” flat screen TV, and one Auvio 42” flat screen TV. The total value of the stolen items are estimated at over $3,000.

The two laptops were government property and with tags,

The point of entry was through a bedroom window which had the glass broken allowing the suspect or suspects entry into the home. There were bloodstains on the window frame and lock. It is possible that the suspect or suspects got injured with a cut while opening the window. The suspect or suspects exited the residence through a back sliding door which was left open.
