Docomo Pacific has pledged its support for the United Filipino Organization by becoming its first major sponsor for Paskong Pinoy 2012.
Secretary Annamae Adaza said on Saturday that besides Docomo Pacific, the network of some 20 Filipino groups in the CNMI also has minor sponsors for their signature annual Christmas event.
They are Tan Siu Lin Foundation, LBC, Western Union, Mariana Resort & Spa, and Barny’s Pizza.
“We still welcome any individuals or companies who want to donate or sponsor our event,” said Adaza.
Paskong Pinoy is scheduled on Dec. 15, Saturday, from 3pm to 10pm at the Garapan Fishing Base.
Adaza, who is the incoming UFO president, said the event will be highlighted by the popular Deal or No Deal game which will feature the biggest cash prize ever. The event will also feature live entertainment and other fun activities.
One of the activities is the art contest with the Christmas theme for children 6 to 11 years old. Winners will take home cash prizes of $30, $20, and $10, respectively.
The individual singing contest will have two categories—children and adults—and the grand prizewinners will receive $50 each. On the other hand, the chorale singing contest winner will have the $200 grand prize.
For the lantern contest, Adaza said a $10 registration fee will be required for each entry. The winner will be judged based on indigenous and recycled materials used as well as originality, and will win $100.
There will also be a raffle draw on the day of the event, and each raffle ticket is available for only $1 each. Ticket buyers will have the chance to become a contestant in the Deal or No Deal game.
Food vendors are invited to register and set up a tent at the event for only $50, while non-food booths will have to pay $40.
“We are calling all individual and group performers, interested contestants, and businesses to take part in this joyous event,” added Adaza.
