Delegate Madeleine Z. Bordallo (D-GU) extended yesterday her condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Japan in the wake of the mass stabbing in Tumon, Guam, that killed two Japanese women and injured 12 others.
“I am deeply saddened and shocked by this tragedy in Tumon. [In] Guam, we welcome our visitors in the same way we welcome our own families. This was a senseless tragedy, and it is sad to see this type of violence [in] Guam. Guam continues to be an exceptionally safe travel destination and we will continue to provide our visitors with the same hospitality and respect we were raised with. I also applaud those who mustered the courage to subdue the assailant until police could arrive on the scene. .I will continue to keep all those affected in my thoughts and prayers.”
