NMI Crime Stoppers is again offering to pay for tips that lead to the arrest of criminals on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota. This month NMI Crime Stoppers is pushing for more tips on the growing problem of copper wire theft.
Any person having any information about all of the previous thefts of copper wire should call the anonymous tip hotline at 234-7272 and give any information they have. You could receive up to $1,000 if your tip leads to an arrest. The call is completely anonymous and the person answering will most likely be part of the NMI CS answering service based in Canada (no chance of local ID). The tipster can earn money and help Saipan, Tinian, or Rota. This effort to help stop the copper wire thefts is courtesy of NMI Crime Stoppers and Bridge Capital.
Crime Stoppers is a non-profit, volunteer group that helps collect tips about crimes. The Crime Stoppers then pass the tips on to Department of Public Safety. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for tips that lead to an arrest. NMI Crime Stoppers was helpful to DPS in recent crimes and has paid for numerous tips in 2009. The community of Saipan, Tinian, and Rota are very important part in helping DPS solve crimes. (PR)
