(Contributed photo) Northern Marianas College students taking up Introduction to Travel and Tourism 101 recently visited the Marianas Trekking headquarters at the Marianas Resort in Marpi to learn about the company's various tour offerings, activities, and operations.

Marianas Trekking manager Vince Asanuma enlightened the students with a lively video and slide show presentation on the company's mountain biking, hiking, snorkeling, and ATV tours, including the special Eco Camp sessions held every summer and winter vacation.

The students also toured the Mandi Asian Spa at the Marianas Resort, led by Marianas Trekking staff member Tiger Lee.

According to NMC instructor Larry Lee, “this type of hands-on field trip experience really broadens our students' perspectives, especially as they learned so much about ecotourism, and the qualities and attitude necessary to succeed in the tourism/hospitality field.” (PR)
