Everyone is saying there's no money but no one wants to find some. A long-time businessman has been tossing out ideas how to make a living that will benefit everyone but because his ideas are not faster than a casino industry, they ignore it.
Governor, lieutenant governor, and lawmakers, you always say there is no money, yet you spend our money carelessly on lawyers and useless travels or meetings.
God is giving you a sign that it is time to start making money and stop spending. So start now. The agricultural industry is a sustainable investment in many ways. Why not look into it? Almost everyone here knows how to grow crops. The only problem we had was marketing. But now the market is not a problem because we have a lot of market today.
Another way of making money is to start charging people fees for using public places. Also, taxing those who are fishing, hunting, and are in the food processing business. Obligating people to pay taxes at a certain level of income makes everyone eligible for many federal assistance and grants. It is also good for beneficial matching funds. Making everyone pay tax helps generate revenue and earn respect for each other.
Create a system for taxing a business, and at the same time provide a system of support that will help business grow and generate more revenue for our government.
The Medicaid problem can be resolved if you start looking into government agencies responsible for handling these low-income benefit systems. One can create an annual fundraising program for sick people who have no money for medical needs and make it available for everyone who cannot afford to buy insurance. A system that is run by the government with policies that applies equal rights. How about having the church involved?
Creating a system to help each other will help bring the economy back to its feet. Creating a system of political power will lead to more recession and depression. Being nice to each other and respecting each other's needs will bring more good outcome to the CNMI.
So stop whining and start putting your employees to work. Send them out there to find solution. Use survey, census, and research if necessary. Create programs if needed to find ways of making money. (And please let qualified individuals do the job.)
