For someone who didn't do anything wrong and is the only one doing something for the people, maybe it would be best to do nothing at all. That would be the first step in helping the community and the biggest help of all. Do-nothing is popular in the CNMI's leadership than something that is not right; do not even respond to the allegations because your response, defense, and statements are insulting to everyone, politicians and community members both! Imagine if the numbers did not support impeachment, his next comment would be, “I told you, Saipan is just like Rota and Tinian,” while he laughs!
It is too late to urge the public and lawmakers to focus instead on saving the pension system, healthcare, utilities services, and expanding revenue-generating industries. In the first place they are all under your control through emergency declarations and they were all ruined by you and your misunderstood motivations.
Secondly, how did you save the pension system by signing HB17-315? Stating that it is problematic or that you signed it with reservations does not help at all. It is a law now so keep your reservations to yourself.
Finally, the public never promised to do your job. As I recall, you promised us a peanut butter factory, shoe factory, several other revenue generating ideas and Better Times. At least fulfill half of your motto and be thankful for your lieutenant who always steps up to the plate to make things better for you every time you run away to your off-island lobster dinner adventures. What a legacy!
So it was shocking? The prefiled impeachment resolution? Where have you been? Oh, off-island again. Well, the CNMI's current problems are not as important as the RNC and the Labor Day picnic that needed attending.
The people were shocked when we discussed the media coverage of the airport escort fiasco, especially after the local comments were translated. Then there was shock again after reading about the 25-year $190 million power purchase agreement that he and Bucki the fugitive from justice signed. I guess to celebrate with his friends on his last day as the CNMI attorney general before transitioning to the extreme opposite. No wonder he quit, he always bragged about seeing no corruption with this administration. I guess affixing your signature on a million-dollar-plus document made the difference this time.
Be mindful that every time this administration makes the news the community is shocked. The only time relief was felt was probably when the other one was shocked. LOL!
If errors are made, then people must be held accountable, the governor said. I suppose those who circumvent the process by saying, “It is a politically driven investigation right before an important election that will divide our community and distract us from focusing on trying to solve the critical issues” to avoid getting caught should be disregarded.
These critical issues all arose because of your gross negligence. It is quite clear that you are the only one trying to distract us by shifting the blame to the legislative branch. The House leadership should be insulted at the statement that they are aligned with the governor-that means they are just as corrupt. How sad. Now, we all know the 17th Legislature supports this governor even though he clearly states that their charges are frivolous and that they are the true incompetents with nothing to show during the time they have been our representatives, like himself. But then again, according to Lang, they are the do-nothing 17th Legislature.
At least the minority bloc differs and can be content. Fitial said he still respects the minority bloc and will continue to work with them and the rest of the Legislature even though none of them have done anything to contribute to their precincts and the whole CNMI such as lowering utility rates and improving services at the hospital during their terms. What a blow to the Legislature! Way below the belt but that's okay, who's wearing one anyways. LOL!
It seems like you're the only thinking and functioning representative of the people, yet we make you sad because no one understands your motivations and actions. Now everyone else is at fault except you! Try getting over your failed arrogant schemes because none of them ever succeeded in the years you have been governor anyway. The only success you have accomplished so far-and please end it there-are the allegations being brought against you in the impeachment resolution. It must have been well worth the massage, whatever kind it was. LOL!
