Proa eases past Ol'Aces

Proa's Shane Diaz, center, hustles down a loose ball before it goes out of bounds during their game against the Ol'Aces in the U20 division of the Rotary caging last Tuesday at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium. (Walter Sutherland) Marianas Resort-Proa routed the Ol'Aces, 61-29, in the U20 division game in the 2012 Saipan Rotary Club Youth Basketball League last Tuesday at the Gilbert C. Derrick Olopai managed 6 points for the Ol'Aces in the first two frames, but the group had a lot of ground to make up in the second half.

The Ol'Aces tried to mount a comeback after the break, but were stuffed to 3 points in the third quarter, as Proa trudged on, 48-21, heading into the final 10 minutes of play.
