Tan Holdings FC's Tanapon Unsa, foreground, tries to keep the ball away from MP United's Enrico Del Rosario during the first half of their game in the U18 division of the NMIFA fall league last Saturday at the Oleai Sports Complex Field. (Roselyn B. Monroyo) One-sided victories dominated the opening games in the 2012 NMIFA Youth Fall League.

In the girls U15 division matches last Saturday at the Hopwood Junior High School Field, MP United topped Tan Holdings FC, 5-1, while Shirley's FC cruised past Paire FC in the second, 7-1.

Jan Nasia Travilla anchored MP United's debut triumph, scoring four goals, while Savannah Delos Santos made the other goal for the winning team. Tan Holdings avoided a shutout in Week 1 of the girls U15 league after getting one goal from Krizel Mae Tuazon.

In the Shirley's-Paire tussle, Marielle Gariguez and Kristina Costales drilled two goals each for the former, while Nica Gariguez, Alexa Vergara, and Diana Maniacop added one apiece. Paire's only game in the match was courtesy of Guinevere Borja.

Matansa Football Club is also entered in the league and will have its first game this weekend after getting a bye in Week 1.

MP United was also victorious in the boys U15 opener, as it clobbered Tan Holdings last Friday at the Oleai Sports Complex Field.

Paire 4, Shirley's 1

In the other boys U16 match, Joel Fruit nailed a pair of goals to list Paire FC past Shirley's.

Fruit made both goals in the first half and he received help from Ivan Seo and Gideon Borja, who found the back of the net once to give Paire a good start in the five-team field.

Matansa Football Club completes the group and will debut in the fall season this weekend.

U18 BOYS

While the opening of the U15 league had lopsided results, the U18 division had close games with the first one ending in a draw.
