(Walter Cepeda Sutherland) QQ Rent-A-Car is accepting submissions for interested teams to appear in the third edition of its QQ Rent-A-Car Basketball League where a hefty cash prize of $1,000 goes to the overall champions.

Two-time reigning league champions Mobil will be returning to defend its title, while seven slots are still open to the first contenders who pay their entrance fees in full.

The tentative starting date is slated for Dec. 15 at the Garapan Basketball Court.

The entrance fee is set at $500 and rosters are limited to 12 players per squad, of which only five Unified Basketball Association A-level players are allowed on each team.

Notably, league organizers will hold a technical meeting on Dec. 10 to go over special ground rules.

Upon the targeted opening night, two-game features will take place from thereon on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on Garapan court.

The Top 3 place finishers will receive trophies in addition to an array of special individual and team awards at the end of the season.

Opening night will feature a parade of all the teams in addition to crowning winners in the Best Uniforms and Best Muse categories.

Mobil will be featured in the curtain raiser and its opponent, and the second matchup will be determined via a random drawing opening night.
