MP United-1 wins battle of sister teams

Monroyo) Zena Demapan was on target in MP United-1’s 7-2 victory over sister team MP United-1 in Division B of the 2012 NMIFA Women’s Futsal Fall League last Monday night at the TSL Sports Complex.

Demapan nailed four goals in MP United-1’s easy win, including three straight in the first half. Demapan scored in the 7th, 9th, and 12th minute, while Mei Demapan and Fish Wang added one goal apiece to give MP United-1 a 5-1 halftime lead. Amy Weis made the lone goal for MP United-2’s in the 5th minute.

Weis found the back of the net anew for MP United-2 in the second half, but Demapan and Wang also lit up the scoreboard in the final frame to complete MP United-1’s rout.

IFC-1 2, Matansa 0

In the second game last Monday, IFC-1 shut out Matansa.

Neither team scored in the first frame and Matansa and IFC-1 continued to struggle in the first 10 minutes of the second half before Maryana Gramlich broke the ice in the 12th minute. Maryana’s mother, Temary, then made it back-to-back for IFC-1 when she got her first goal two minutes later.

Tan Holdings 4, Paire 4

The last match last Monday ended in a draw.

Guinivere Borja was a one-woman show for Paire, scoring all her team’s four goals, while Tan Holdings got goals from four different players. Christine Maria Castro made the first one, while Chloe Salvosa and Krizel Tuazon drilled the next two to tie the game at 3-all midway in the second half.

Rona Rojas then put Tan Holdings in the lead with her goal in the 43rd minute, but Paire equalized behind Borja’s fourth goal about two minutes later.

Meanwhile, Paire also settled for a draw in its game against IFC-2 last Friday.

Semona Igama and Clarissa Mobel netted one goal each for Paire, while IFC-1 drew one goal apiece from Windy Orcine and Maryfern Urena.


Shirley’s 11, MP United 2

In the first Division A game last Friday, Shirley’s rout MP United.

Lalaine Pagarao had a hat-trick, Alexa Vergara, Melody Johnson, and Marielle Gariguez added two goals each, while Mikky Vargas and Jeraldine Castillo contributed one apiece to whip MP United.

Negahr Rastguiy scored the first goal for MP United, which led right into the first minute of the match before Shirley’s started dominating the game two minutes later. Jayda Mendoza tallied the other goal for MP United.

IFC 3, Paire 1

The other Division A match last weekend had IFC beating Paire.

Sara and Terra Allen, and Pratoom Stoffer scored for IFC, while Norleen Siech posted the only goal for Paire.

Paire connected the first goal in the game with Siech eluding her defenders in the 10th minute. Sara Allen then tied the match two minutes later and with three minutes left before the first half ended, Terra Allen got her first goal to put IFC in the lead. Stoffer gave IFC the insurance in the 37th minute.
