RBC fields 4 teams in Guam basketball festival

A contingent of 42 players from the Rollers Basketball Club hopped on a plane to Guam earlier his week to take part in the Agana Heights Fiesta Basketball Invitational at the Agana Heights Gymnasium.

The Rollers are fielding seven teams in total, however some players are suiting up for multiple squads. The Rollers are the lone CNMI representative in the tourney and will be taking on Guam’s Tamuning Falcons, Dragons, and other teams in the 10U, U12, 14U-A, 14U-B, 16-A, 18U-A, and 18U-B divisions.

The 10U Rollers are comprised of Ichiro and Taka Borja, Kevin and Wendy Tang, John Paul Cruz, and Taiga Sato.

The 12U Rollers include Chevy Kate Alipio, Emmanuel Cobabas, Chioni Dela Cruz, John Malasarte, and Austin Pangelinan.

The 14U-A Rollers are bannered by C.J. Morales, John Carlo Cadua, Jedd Cudia, Warren Ellama, Mike Espinosa, Chris Jun Fidelino, and Kyle Rios.

The 14U-B group includes Christian Alipio, Mike Cenir, Jethro Cruz, E.J. Ermintanio, Isaiah Bordon, Ethan Kwon, Roi Venezuela, and N-Nes Siech.

Espinosa, Morales, Jeron Ano, Prince Factor, Irvyn Malonzo, J.P. Igelsias, and K.C. Pangelinan make up the 16A squad.

Cadua, David Bucayo, David Lin, Bruce and Elijah Li, Cheng Wei, Bill Tran, Joel Subang Jr., Winson Yu, and Keolani Rios represent the 18U-B team.

The 18U-A group includes Ano, Factor, Allen Gao, Malonzo, Iglesias, and K.C. Pangelinan.

Coach Hoe Diaz, his wife Verna Babauta, assistant coach Fred Litulumar, Rose Rios, Yoko Borja, and Zlaudia Pang are accompanying the group.

In addition, Litulumar will also be reuniting with some former Rollers now residing on Guam to compete in the 25A adult division.
