JKPL suspends bookmobile outreach service

The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library Bookmobile Outreach Services would like to let the Public and Community know that bookmobile services will be cancelled from Aug. 14 to 18, 2012. The Bookmobile staff will be on training. Bookmobile services will resume on Aug. 21, 2012. We apologize for the inconvenience. (PR)

WSR school uniform orders no ongoing

William S. Reyes Elementary School uniform orders are now open for school year 2012-2013. Stop by the main office to order. T-shirt sizes youth XS-XL and adult small-XL is $10 each and adult XXL is $12 each. Deadline to order uniform is Aug. 22, 2012. (PR)

Professions licensing board to amend regs

The Health Care Professions Licensing Board is notifying the general public that it proposes to amend the regulations for dentists, dental hygienists, dental therapists, dental assistants, and acupuncturists in the Vol. 34, No. 07, July 29, 2012 publication of the Commonwealth Register.

The HCPLB will also publish new regulations to license/regulate EMTS (Emergency Medical Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians, Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians, EMT-Paramedics).

Interested persons may obtain hard copy or electronic copy of the proposed amendments from the board's office located at Bldg. No. 1242 Pohnpei Court, Capitol Hill, Saipan, or contact the HCPLB at the above number or email address.

Anyone interested in commenting on the new/proposed amendments may do so within 30 days from the date the notice was published in the Commonwealth Register. (PR)

Saipan and Northern Islands Soil and Water Conservation District meeting on Aug. 14

Veterans outreach set for Aug. 13-16

This is to inform all Veterans that Tina San Agustin, Federal Department of Veterans Affairs Senior Veteran's Service Representative from Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, will be on Rota and Saipan for Veterans Outreach on Veterans Federal Benefits. Navy to conduct training at Warning Area 517

SANTA RITA, Guam-The U.S. Navy will conduct training at Warning Area 517 on Aug. 7-8 from 9am to 4pm.

The general public especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and marine tour operators are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated.

W-517 is an irregular shaped polygon comprising of 14,000 nautical square miles of airspace that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. W-517 supports surface and aerial gunnery, missiles, and laser exercises.

This will affect fishing in the vicinity of Santa Rosa Reef and Galvez Bank. W-517 is contained within the following coordinates: 13° 10”N/144° 30”E, 13° 10”N/144° 42”E, 12° 50”N/144° 45”E, 11° 00”N/144° 45”E, 11° 00”N/143° 00”E, 11° 45”N/143° 00”E, 12° 50”N/144° 30”E.
