From June 22 to July 18, Guam residents will be encouraged to support participating Buy Local Guam Businesses and save their receipts. On July 18, the community will be invited to the Chamorro Village Buy Local Night for local food, shopping, and entertainment. They will have an opportunity to turn in their saved receipts and claim prizes from local businesses that support the Buy Local movement.
The campaign's objective is to promote thinking and buying local by supporting the Guam Product Seal program participants, Chamorro Village tenants and vendors, and BuyLocalGuam businesses.
This campaign is part of an initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Interior’s Office of Insular Affairs through the UOG Pacific Center for Economic Initiatives, in partnership with GEDA, Guam Chamber of Commerce, and supported by Guam SBDC, Dept. of Chamorro Affairs, and UOG Junior Accountants Society.
