Making paksiu and bayogu dolls at Tinian Cultural Center
The Tinian Chamorro-Carolinian Cultural Center is offering free lessons to Chamorros and Carolinians on making paksiu and bayogu dolls this Saturday at the Tinian Senior Citizen Center Pavilion. The lessons will start at 9am. Bring your children so they, too, can learn the traditional ways of the Chamorros and Carolinians.
These activities are sponsored by the Association of Native Medicine and Culture, in partnership with the Tinian Community and Cultural Affairs Office, Tinian Mayor's Office, and the Indigenous Affairs Office (Saipan), and funded in part by the Administration for Native Americans. For more information, call 433-9220 and ask for Raymond Sablan. On Saipan call 322-0278. (PR)
