MHS PTA meeting set Tuesday

Military training on FDM, Area W-517
The U.S. military will be conducting exercises on the island of Farallon de Mendenilla and Area W-517 south of Guam on Sept. 15 to 21, 2012, from 8am to 11:59pm. The general location of this activity will be on the island of Farallon de Mendenilla training area on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants and W-517, an area comprising 14,000 nautical miles of airspace that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest into international waters.
The Emergency Management Office, Office is strongly advising the public-especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and marine tour operators-to stay away from this area during the time and dates indicated. (PR)
Fitial to appear on Marianas Agupa
This Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, Marianas Agupa will feature Gov. Benigno R. Fitial to talk about abuse issues surrounding the accusations of wrongdoing and to explain his side to the people of the Commonwealth. The show is from 9am to 11am on Magic 100.3 FM; the governor will be on air by 10am. Listeners on Saipan, Tinian and Rota and those listening via streaming are encouraged to call in and ask questions during the show (direct to studio at 234-5929 or use Marianas Agupa's Facebook account via instant messaging). The Chamorro radio talk show program is hosted by Glenn H. Manglona. Simultaneous Internet streaming via www.magic100radio.com will be available. (PR)
Financial Aid Family Night in Koblerville
The College Access Challenge Grant will be hosting a "Financial Aid Family Night" at the Koblerville Youth Learning Center on Sept. 18, 2012, at 5pm. The community will learn more about tuition assistance and how to fill out the forms. (PR)
