The Blue Ice Hustlers, out of Utopia Sports Bar, bumped SOS Bar & Grill's IT&E Voyagers (72-48) out of first place in the Saipan Billiards Association's Tuesday division standings with a 10-5 road victory that highlighted this week's 2012 Budweiser Open 8-Ball League season matchups.
Meanwhile, 19th Hole Bar's Titans II kept a grip on the steering wheel in SBA's Bud Light Thursday grouping.
The Blue Ice Hustlers improved its win-loss record to 74-46 and holds a two-game edge in the Tuesday standings over its rival.
In other results, Joe's Steakhouse's Docomo Pacific Home Boyz (69-51) romped pover Yuichiro's Printing (48-72),11-4 , in a road match held at Poseidon Bar & Grill to grab a share of third place with the IT&E Incredibles (69-51) who dropped a 7-8 upset at home in Oceanside Bar & Grill to Poseidon's Crazy 8 (48-72); and the 19th Hole's Titans I (43-77) logged a much-needed 8-7 home win over Bammy's Restaurant & Bar's Triggers (57-63).
Then on Thursday, Titans II evaded Wild Bill's Bar & Grill's Shark Attack (56-64), 8-7, at home to keep its hold on first place in the Thursday division with a 73-47 card, but Bammy's Equalizers (72-48) put together a 9-6 home win over 19th Hole's Eagles (41-79) to pull within one game of the lead.
Last of all, Waterfront's third-ranked Eight It! (67-53) went into Jonny's Bar & Grill and bested Team SCS (41-79), 8-7.
