A fire of still unknown cause broke out this afternoon, Wednesday, at a former garment factory in Chalan Laulau.
Thick white smoke blanketed Middle Road in the vicinity of the former Winners and Pangjin Garment, which was engulfed with fire that started at about 2:20pm.
At 2:45pm there was heavy rain in the area, but the fire was still raging.
