To mark the 20th anniversary of the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library, the group Library Friends will sponsor a fundraising golf tournament at Coral Ocean Point this Saturday.
Registration begins at 6am for only $75 per person, inclusive of access to the banquet immediately after the game. Tee time is scheduled at 7am.
The Top 5 finishers at the Double Peoria tournament will take home $300, $250, $200, $150, and $100.
Raffle tickets will also be sold for a chance to win a lot of exciting prizes such as Birthday Party Package from McDonald's; $200 worth of gift certificates from JCT Enterprise; dinner for two at Seaside Bar & Grill, and brunch for 2 at Magellan from Pacific Islands Club; Dynacraft Copperhead 325, 9 Degree driver from All-Star Sporting Goods; one-night stay at Hyatt Regency Saipan; and $50 gift certificate from Island Apparel/Fashion Clicks.
Erlinda Naputi, JKPL Children's Library associate, noted that Pacific Trading Co. and Coral Ocean Point will donate $5 to the library for every ticket purchased.
Naputi said they are still waiting for more prizes from other businesses that pledged their donations for the event.
All proceeds from the tournament will be used to purchase new books for the library, so Naputi encouraged the community to support Saturday's golf tournament.
“We are asking all golf enthusiasts to come out and help us with our fundraising,” said Naputi.
