Utopia Sports Bar's Blue Ice Hustlers and the 19th Hole Bar's Titans II remain the frontrunners in the Saipan Billiards Association's 15th Budweiser Open 8-Ball League.
The Blue Ice Hustlers roughed up Yuichiros Printing (53-82 of Poseidon Bar & Grill at home, 10-5, to uphold their lead in the Tuesday division with an 84-51 record.
Defending champion SOS Bar & Grill's IT&E Voyagers (83-52), however, pulled to within a game of the Hustlers' lead after an 11-4 romping at home over Bammy's Restaurant & Bar's Triggers (61-74).
The now third-ranked Oceanside's Bar & Grill's, IT&E Incredibles (77-58) swapped positions with the Docomo Pacific Home Boyz (76-59) after downing the latter, 8-7, in a road match at Joe's Steakhouse, while and 19th Hole's Titans I (54-81) went into Poseidon and bested Crazy 8 (52-83), 11-4.
In the Thursday division, 19th Hole's Titans II survived the second-ranked Bammy's Equalizers (79-56), 8-7, on the road to grasp a two-game lead in the division; Titans II holds a 73-47 slate.
In other results, Wild Bill's Bar & Grill's Shark Attack (65-70) pulled out a valued 9-6 road victory over the Waterfront's Eight It! (73-62), while Jonny's Bar & Grill's Team SCS (60-75) toppled 19th Hole's wounded Eagles (47-88) in similar scores on the road.
Meanwhile, the Tuesday division games resume tonight with Yuichiros Printing hosting the IT&E Voyagers, the IT&E Incrdedibles setting up for the Blue Ice Hustlers, the Titans I waving over the Docomo Home Boyz, and the Triggers accommodating Crazy 8.
Thursday's pairings show Titans II hailing Eight It!, Shark Attack prepping for the Eagles and, Team SCS hosting the Equalizers.
