All is set for the Marchitti Challenge, an MTB and road bike race that will be held this Sunday.
Registration will start at 5:45am, while the race will begins at 7am. Entrance fee is only $10.
The weekend event will feature four courses and will all start and end at the parking lot of PauPau Beach.
The MTB long course will bring bikers to Banzai Cliff, Banzai Trail, Santa Clause Lane, Autobahn Trail, Bird Island, road to Suicide Cliff up to the top of Kimikaze Trail, back to Autobahn Trail, Santa Clauss Lane, Banzai Traill, and then to PauPau.
For the MTB short course, bikers will pass the first five trails and then proceed to Grotto before returning to PauPau.
The road bike long course will have a different route as from PauPau, riders will head right to Mobil Station and then go to Banzai, Bird Island, Grotto, Suicide Cliff, back to Banzai, and then to the start/finish line.
For the road bike short course, bikers will head the same direction as the long course, but they will not go to Suicide Cliff.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each course, while raffles prizes will also be given away at the end of the race. Raffle tickers are for sale for $1 each.
The weekend event is supported by the Tan Siu Lin Foundation, Gold's Gym, Bike Pro, IT&E, Pacific Islands Club, Powerade, Megabyte, Safety First, Brabu Pharmacy, and Saipan Sea Ventures.
