Empty Vessel says thanks for bazaar supporters

Empty Vessel Ministry members and supporters have their picture taken with Chef William of Mariana Resort & Spa. (Contributed Photo) The Empty Vessel Ministry wishes to thank Mariana Resort & Spa and all the vendors who participated in its Bazaar/Flea Market event. The public had a chance to taste the winning recipe that won in the recent Saipan's Next Top Chef competition. The recipe will be available by Oct. 15, 2012, at the Mariana Resort & Spa.

“We appreciate everyone for supporting our activities and supporting the vendors by shopping at their booth at our recent flea market at the ABA building. Your support in purchasing their products helps most of them put food on the table for their families,” said the Ministry in a statement.

Aside from the monetary donations, the church organization also received household supplies that will be given away to families in need on Saipan. The church will also sell a portion of these donations to raise money for its program.

“Many families have benefited from our donations; therefore if you have clothes, shoes, utensils, and any items you want to donate, we will be happy to receive them at Empty Vessel. We request that all donations are in good condition so we can give to families in need.”

Other ways that people can help Empty Vessel is by sponsoring a child in Kenya, the Philippines, and Bangladesh for only $30 a month. This will provide education and basic needs for a street child or orphans. “We support education here in Saipan therefore we appreciate school supplies for our children,” the church statement adds.

Empty Vessel also believes in empowering women because it is the women that ensure that the family is taken cared of. “Because of the generous donation from our supporters, 61 women in Kenya have received small loans for them to start small businesses,” the church said.

Those who would like to participate in Empty Vessel's flea market in Gualo Rai at the ABA building across the EZ Market may contact 483-0162 or 235-2340.
