The CNMI Scholarship Office will soon be holding offices at a new site-another government building on Capital Hill.
CNMI Scholarship administrator Jackie Che confirmed that they expect to complete their move to the new building by next week.
Che said the new office is the Office of Homeland Security's old building at No. 1326, also on Capital Hill.
The Homeland Security Office will take over the old Scholarship Office building at No. 1311 and the adjacent building, which used to be occupied by the Marianas Public Land Trust. MPLT has moved to another government unit on Capital Hill.
According to Che, the relocation will not cost the Scholarship Office any because no renovations will be done.
“We will not be closed during our move. Phone and fax numbers will remain the same. In the case phone/fax lines are disrupted, we advise the public to email us. Emails are answered within 1-3 business days,” added Che, adding that the new address of the CNMI Scholarship Office is 1326 Guguan Drive.
The Scholarship Office functions under the Office of the Governor and provides financial assistance to eligible CNMI students pursuing postsecondary education.
