Saipan Southern High School triumphed in dominating fashions against Kagman High School in both in the varsity and junior varsity games in the 2012-2013 Marianas Interscholastic Sports Organization Girls Basketball League last Friday at the Marianas High School Gymnasium.
The Lady Manta Rays lit up the Lady Ayuyus in the junior varsity match, 54-13, and then Southern's varsity squad took care of business on the main stage and downed Kagman, 60-43.

She tallied 8 points in the first quarter and then teamed up with O. Ayana in the second exchange to catapult the Lady Rays ahead at halftime, 40-18. Ayana led Southern in the first half with her 11 markers that was complemented by Duenas' 9.
The Lady Rays then sunk the dagger into the Lady Ayuyus a frame early and pretty much sealed the deal after amassing a daunting 58-35 margin in the third quarter.
Duenas then scrambled for 10 points in the deciding period before taking a seat, as Southern coaches called off the dogs late in the game. She finished way on top of the box score with 25 points, while Ayana chipped in 15. Kagman drew 9 markers from A. Ada.
