Couple, man facing 'ice' charges to plead guilty

The U.S. Attorney's Office informed the U.S. District Court for the NMI that Robin Norita Sablan and his wife Ofelia Pua Sablan have signed a plea agreement. In a separate case, Vicente Aldan Sablan, also known as Ben Seven, also signed a plea deal with the government.

Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona set the change of plea hearing for the Sablan couple on Friday at 2:30pm. Vicente Sablan's change of plea hearing is scheduled today, Thursday, at 2:30pm.

The indictment charged Robin, Ofelia Sablan, and Leonard Urumelog Ordonez with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine or “ice.” The three allegedly conspired with other persons to distribute “ice” from June 10, 2010 until Aug. 22, 2012.

In addition, Robin Sablan was charged with one count of distribution of methamphetamine for allegedly distributing less than a gram of “ice” on March 24, 2011.

The other indictment charged Vicente Sablan and Corrections officer Mariano Q. Falig Jr. with conspiracy to distribute “ice” and distribution of “ice.” In addition, Falig was charged with using, carrying, or possession of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence or drug trafficking crime.
