Saipan International School and Grace Christian Academy have risen to the top of the ranks, heading into the third round of the 2012-2013 Marianas Interscholastic Sports Organization Boys Volleyball League.
In last Thursday's pairings at the Marianas High School Gymnasium, SIS-Green swept Saipan Southern High School's Manta Rays (0-2) in all three sets, 25-19, 25-19, 15-11, while GCA received the nod over the MHS Blue Dolphins (1-1) after winning the first two sets, 25-15, 15-16. The Blue Dolphins took the last set, 16-14, to avoid a shutout.
In other results, SIS-White made light work of the MHS Yellow Dolphins (0-2) in all three sets of their duel, 25-11, 25-6, 15-6.
Notably, the Mount Carmel School's Knights (1-1) were awarded victory via forfeiture over Kagman High School's Ayuyus (0-2), who have yet to make an official appearance this season.
The SIS White and Green Geckos and GCA's Eagles are all looking to keep their flawless runs alive as the season continues this Tuesday at the MHS Gym, starting at 4pm.
SIS-Green will take on MHS Blue on the north square at 4pm, while Kagman is scheduled to face MHS Yellow on the south end at the same time. Then at 5pm, MCS will duel Southern on the north court, while an enticing battle between GCA and SIS-White will take place on the south side.
