Eight members of the 254th Force Support Squadron of the Guam Air National Guard returned late last night following a three-month long deployment to the Southwest region in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
There were nine airmen in this second team that deployed, but one returned a few days earlier. They were assigned to the Transit Center at Manas, Kyrzyg Republic.
Their mission involved providing a wide range of services functions to include food service, lodging, mortuary affairs, fitness, recreation, field exchange, and other support programs.
Another team from the same Guam Air Guard unit returned last week from another Southwest mission. Some 90 members of the 254th Red Horse squadron also returned home Wednesday morning from their deployment in Afghanistan.
