Q: How did you become interested in football?

A:
My friends and I wanted to try something new, so we heard that there were tryouts for soccer. We just gave it a shot because it seems fun and interesting.

Q: Why do you like to play football?

A:
I like to play football because I want to learn all the tricks and it's just so fun. It keeps me healthy and helps me stay in shape.

Q: What are your greatest football achievements?

A:
I made my first goal on my first year of playing football. I scored a goal from almost half of the field. I continue to improve and learn tricks, like controls, passes, and shooting.

Q: What other message can you share with the football community?

A:
Football is an awesome sport. I never expected this sport to be my favorite until I started playing.

“Angelo has only been playing for three seasons but he has quickly become a leader on and off the field. It is clear how much he enjoys playing and has worked really hard to catch up to the level of more experienced players. His dedication and passion for the sport really stand out. Angelo always has a soccer ball with him, every opportunity he has he is trying to improve his ball control. Also, Angelo's ability to read the game, his field vision, has really improved over the past season. He has been a tremendous help to his team with his ability to get open or see an open player on the pitch.”

Q: How did you become interested in football?

A:
I started playing soccer at a very young age, so it became a habit and I join competitions every season. Also, my friend is playing and I really wanted to play with her.

Q: Why do you like to play football?

A:
I've never really had a passion for any other sport. Playing with my team and others is so much fun.

Q: What are your greatest football achievements?

A:
I'll never forget the U13/14 team that I've played with for nearly three years. Winning the championships for several seasons is an amazing experience and my teammates have changed my life forever.

Q: What other message can you share with the football community?

A:
Play your hearts out on the field. Whether you're a professional or not, play your best. You can gain a lot of experience and even make new friends. Have fun and enjoy the sport. Forget the trophy and the glory, what matters is how well you've played for your team.

“Tiana is the leader of our team. On the field, she anchors our defense, preventing teams from scoring and making plays to give us a chance to win every time. On the sidelines, she inspires her teammates to continue playing hard. Away from the pitch, Tiana is an amazing young woman, as kind as anyone I have met and caring for others, an excellent student as well. A true ambassador for the sport. Tiana has many skills and talents but her greatest strength is her ability to get anywhere on the pitch in order to make a play. She clears the ball very well and is a true force in the center of any defense. She is the perfect mould for her position-strong, quick, and aggressive.
-Tiana's coach Lee Epperson.
