The Commonwealth Zoning board elected a new vice chair and secretary at a meeting held at its Dandan office last Thursday.
The board unanimously voted for Herman P. Sablan as vice chair and newly appointed Gus Kaipat as secretary.
Sablan was nominated by treasurer Alice S. Igitol, who joined the board meeting via teleconference.
He is replacing former vice chair Jose T. Limes, who left the board after filing for candidacy for next month's midterm election.
“Thank you to everyone for the vote of confidence and for your support,” Sablan addressed the board. “I promise to do my best.”
Meanwhile, Sablan nominated Kaipat for secretary, replacing Ed Arriola Jr. The board noted that Arriola is awaiting re-appointment.
Besides Sablan and Kaipat, other board members are chair Diego C. Blanco, treasurer Alice S. Igitol, and newly appointed member Bruce Bateman.
