Barely a week after an anti-corruption rally comes a rally for “clean government” that will bring together members and supporters of the Covenant Party, the Democratic Party, so-called Independent Republicans and independents from 10am to 3pm today at the Minachom Atdao pavilion in Susupe.
Just like last Sunday’s anti-corruption rally, today’s rally will include road waving and holding of banners.
This time, however, speakers will feature private citizens, government officials, and political candidates.
“All residents interesting in returning power to the people are urged to attend,” the organizers said.
Next weekend, the Republican Party headed by Gov. Benigno R. Fitial will also hold a mass rally.
With barely days before the Nov. 6 mid-term elections, concerned citizens and political parties are drumming up support to their parties and candidates.
