The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. is informing residents of Dandan Homestead and Obyan that an eight-hour water outage is scheduled for Jan. 4, 2013, from 7:30am to 3:30pm.
The purpose of this water outage is to allow CUC's contractor, GPPC, Inc. to replace gate valves along Dandan Road across the Dandan Elementary School. This project is part of the San Vicente Service Area Extension and Exploring Drive-Fina Sisu Waterline Replacement Project.
The water outage will affect residents living in Dandan Homestead and Obyan areas. This project is in preparation for the waterline upgrade in the area to improve system pressure and provide a more reliable water system.
CUC's operations team and GPPC, Inc. will be working hard to return service to customers in these affected areas as soon as possible. Because of the scale of the work to be performed, CUC recommends that motorists take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the construction sites.
