Crime Stoppers is seeking help from the public on an assault and battery, auto pedestrian, hit and run fatality incident that occurred on Middle Road, Garapan, across the street from the Mobil gas station.
On Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at about 11:53pm, the victim, a 19-year-old male, was chased by two men who assaulted and beat the victim on Middle Road, Chalan Pale Arnold, on the outer northbound lane by LJ Store, Garapan.
After the two men beat up the victim, they fled the scene running north toward Upper Miha, leaving the victim lying on the highway. Initial witnesses say a late model 2011-2012 Gray Toyota Sienna van struck the victim on the road and dragged him about 50 feet on the highway. The car then fled the scene.
The victim was struck again by a second car, a green 1988 Toyota Hilux pickup truck, which stopped to help the victim. The victim was transported to the Commonwealth Health Care Corp., Emergency Room where he was pronounced dead at 3:15am.
Police investigation led to the arrest of two suspects early Wednesday morning, Jan. 3, 2012. The suspects are Herman Fitial, 34, and Felix Kileleman, 19. New information reveals that the suspected gray van that fled the scene could possibly be a gray or black Astro Van, not a Toyota Sienna Van. The driver and van are still at large.
