The Department of Public Works' Energy Division Office announced yesterday that the “2013 National Energy Action Campaign" will commence on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, with two sessions at the Rota Mayor's Office. This event is for those individuals who were not able to avail and participate in the last campaign activity held on July 27, 2012.
The Energy Division, through its Energy Education, Efficiency and Conservation efforts, will be distributing reusable shopping bags with Home Energy Savings Kits. Participants will also have the opportunity to obtain a portable stove by participating in the National Energy Action Campaign presentation.
Due to limited seating, interested individuals must pre-register with the Energy Division by calling 664-4480/81 to confirm attendance and seating no later than 4:30pm today, Jan. 23, 2013. In addition, registered attendees will be required to present a copy of their most recent utility bill, in their name, to be allowed to participate in the schedule sessions.
The schedule of events is as follows:
Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013
-First session: 9am to 11am
-Second session: 2pm to 4pm
