Orientation set for UOG's China summer experience program

If you are interested in participating in the University of Guam and Sias International University's Mandarin Language and Chinese Culture Summer Experience program then attend the orientation session at 4pm on Jan. 30 at the Humanities and Social Sciences Bldg., Class Dean's Conference Room. Program details, costs, deadlines, and the process of earning Mandarin language credit will be discussed.

UOG students and high school students who have completed their junior year and members of the community at large are invited to attend. The University of Guam, in conjunction with China's Sias International University in ZhengZhou City, offers a four-week Chinese language and culture experience. University of Guam students can earn four credits for either CI Mandarin 101, 102, or 201 through participation in this summer experience and completion of coursework with a grade of C or higher. In addition to Mandarin, students will learn painting, calligraphy, martial arts, folk music, and history. The course will run from June 3 to 28, 2013. Sias International University costs for the summer experience are $1,325 per student/participant and include:
