Grace Christian Academy's Lady Eagles and Marianas High School's Blue Lady Dolphins continue to lead the way after last Thursday's Marianas Interscholastic Sports Organization 2013 girls volleyball season matchups held at the MHS Gymnasium.
Lone frontrunner GCA kept its undefeated streak with its eighth win in a row after putting down the Kagman High Lady Ayuyus (1-6), 25-12, 25-15, and, 15-5, and then Mount Carmel School's Lady Knights (4-2), 25-9, 25-14, and, 15-10.
Meanwhile, MHS Blue Dolphins dropped its first set against Saipan International School's White Lady Geckos (5-4), 23-25, but grinded out the win in the remaining two sets, 25-16 and 15-5, to cap its sixth win through eight games.
Meanwhile, Marianas Baptist Academy's Lady Stormz (3-5) bounced back with a couple of wins last week and SIS White pulled off an impressive upset over its more seasoned Green Lady Geckos (5-2), 13-25, 25-14, and, 15-11.
The Lady Stormz blew through MHS' Yellow Lady Dolphins (2-5), 25-7, 25-9, and, 19-17; and Saipan Southern High School Lady Manta Rays (0-6), 25-16, 25-6, and, 15-8.
Schedule change
Due to Delegate Gregorio Kilili C. Sablan's inauguration ceremony, tomorrow's originally scheduled pairings will be moved to Wednesday at the MHS Gym. Game times remain unchanged.
In addition, MISO's boys basketball matchups have also been both relocated and rescheduled for tomorrow at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium starting at 4pm with junior varsity action featuring Saipan International School's Jr. Geckos (0-2) taking on the Marianas High School's Jr. Dolphins (3-0) followed by the 5:45pm varsity tip between MHS (2-1) and the Mount Carmel School Knights (0-2).
