The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. has scheduled a power interruption on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
The purpose of the interruption is to de-energize the primary lines to allow the CUC line crew to safely perform system maintenance by replacing two rotten power poles in the upper Dandan Homestead area near Gatbo Av.
Water services may be affected in the area during the power interruption; however, all services should be restored after the power is re-energized.
Areas that will be affected are from the former San Vicente Round House south on Dandan Road to the Flame Tree Road intersection and east toward the Hawaiian Rock Quarry to the Obyan areas.
Because of the scale of the work that will be performed, travelers are urged to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas. (CUC)
