MHS Class of '83 sets meeting

The MHS Class of 1983 would like to invite everyone to their general meeting on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at the Minatchom Atdao Pavilion in Susupe, by the Civil Center Beach, at 7pm. If you have any question, call Tonnei Camacho at 483-9665. (PR)

Red Cross sets health and safety trainings

The American Red Cross is scheduled to conduct Preparedness Health & Safety training on the following dates:

- Jan. 31 at 6pm: Adult CPR/AED Blended Learning

- Feb. 2 at 8am: Adult CPR/AED

- Feb. 5 at 5:30pm: First Aid Blended Learning

Classes are held at the chapter training room on Airport Road. Blended Learning courses involve online courses with in-person skills exam. Course fees apply. For more information on the courses listed or other certification courses, contact the chapter office at 234-3459. (PR)

SSHS sets half-day session

Southern High School will have a half-day session for Cluster Professional Development on Feb. 6, 2013. Students will be released at 1:05pm and the bus will pick up the students at 1:05pm. Students will attend all their classes and lunch will be served. For more information, contact the administrative office at 237-3710. (PR)

FOA presents 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'

It is nearly February, and time for the Friends of the Arts annual dinner theater for lovers and friends. This year Friends of the Arts is featuring one of the greatest of Shakespeare's comedies, A Midsummer's Night Dream. This year's Valentine's special can be watched at the Pacific Islands Club on the evenings of Feb. 14, 15 with a matinee on the 17th. (PR)

The Marianas High School class of 1983 will hold its general meeting on Feb. 5, 2013, 7pm at the Minatchom Atdao Pavilion on the Civic Center Beach in Susupe. (PR)

Air Force, Navy training on FDM, Warning Area 517

The U.S. Air Force is conducting training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla until Feb. 1, from 8am to 4pm. The public-especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators-are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated. The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants. (PR)
