Northern Mariana Islands Volleyball Association's free youth beach volleyball clinics have resumed yesterday and will continue every Saturday mornings from 8am to 10am at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan beach front.
The focus of the program is to develop youth players as they prepare for the upcoming Junior Marianas Cup Two-person Beach Volleyball Tournament, scheduled for Feb. 16 and 17.
NMIVA's Wednesday youth clinics are open to youth players ages 13 and above, while the Saturday sessions are open to players ages 8 and older.
Participants are expected to bring their own source of hydration and refreshments.
As an added treat, the youth players will get to learn from the visiting professional beach players from the U.S. and Japan on Feb. 13, which coincidentally marks the beginning of the Marianas Cup Beach Volleyball Festival.
Notably, the pros will be putting on a special exhibition match the following Saturday afternoon at Fiesta as well.
More information about the visiting pros are forthcoming.
In addition, NMIVA's Friday Sunset Beach Volleyball finale is also set for tomorrow evening at Fiesta at 5:30pm. Its closing semifinal match tips off beginning 5:30pm.
