In partnership with Tokio Marine Pacific Insurance Limited, Pacifica Insurance Underwriters, Inc. recently launched Pacifica Road Aid, a roadside service assistance program, designed to enhance the value of its auto insurance policies.
Pacifica Road Aid will be offered to customers who purchase personal auto insurance with comprehensive and collision coverage or what is most often referred to as “full coverage” auto insurance at no additional cost.
“Everyone is looking for a deal,” said general manager Shirley Sablan. “Pacifica Road Aid is a program designed, not only to enhance reliability on our auto policies, but also to help save our customers money on towing and other related and covered services.”
The roadside service assistance program offers five types of services: key lock out, jump start, flat tire change, out of gas, and towing services. Descriptions of such services are as follows:
-Key lock out service: the attempt of unlocking or the opening of a covered vehicle should the insured accidentally leave his or her key in the vehicle.
-Jump start service: the attempt of starting the insured's covered vehicle with a jumper cable if the battery has been drained of its capacity to start the vehicle.
-Flat tire change: the changing of a flat tire with the insured's covered vehicle's spare tire and equipment.
-Out of gas service: a type of service whereby a serviceman will drive the insured to the nearest gas station for the sole purpose of purchasing gasoline.
-Towing service: a lift-towing service available to both accident and non-accident related cases.
Pacifica Insurance has contracted Joeten Motors Company to manage and provide services offered under the program.
“We wanted a company with a long history of auto repair and related services to facilitate Pacifica Road Aid; Joeten Motors came at the very top of our list,” said Sablan. “We expect nothing less than the finest for our roadside service program. Joeten Motors is serious about providing excellent services using the latest equipment. Late last year, they invested thousands on a brand new tow truck that will be used for this program.”
Customers who qualify for Pacifica Road Aid will be given one per each type of roadside service listed under the program with conditions. The cost of such services will be fully covered by Pacifica Insurance provided that customers complete a full one-year policy term and maintain a good standing account.
