The healthcare provider donated $3,000 and presented it to MMAC committee members last Feb. 8.

This makes TakeCare/FHP the second title sponsor for the annual event slated for April 26 to 27 at the Hopwood Jr. High School Field in Chalan Piao.

Title sponsorship is considered the event's highest level of sponsorship and is given to companies or individuals that donate $3,000 or more in cash, products or services.

Besides their donation, TakeCare/FHP will also sponsor the annual cancer survivor dinner held in honor of cancer survivors and those currently undergoing cancer treatment.

Additionally, the company will participate as a team in the 12-hour event, which is the signature fundraising activity of the Commonwealth Cancer Association, a nonprofit group dedicated to promoting cancer awareness and prevention, providing patient support services, and serving as liaison and advocate for cancer issues in the Northern Marianas.

2013 MMAC overall committee chairman Manny Borja said they are extremely grateful for the generous support that TakeCare/FHP has provided over the years.

“Their sponsorship of the survivor dinner is sincerely appreciated. We extend our utmost thanks to the staff and management of TakeCare/FHP for their donation,” added Borja.
