Fiesta Resort and Spa Saipan was proud to host the players from the Korean baseball team LG Twins at the hotel in January. The Twins, based in Seoul, South Korea, arranged a long-term visit to Saipan, staying at the resort from Jan. 7 until Feb. 6, 2013.
LG Twins have traditionally left Korea during the harsh winter months, preferring to travel to Saipan for practice in the island's welcoming tropical climate. The players kept a grueling practice schedule this year, waking in the early hours of each day for warm-ups and runs, and often ending the day with night training.
During the course of their visit, the resort was happy to provide the team with use of its gym facilities for weight training, as well as superb meals at its restaurants. The resort also helped host a fan meeting between the Twins and their Korean fan base.
