An immigration forum hosted by U.S. Pinoys for Good Governance Marianas chapter will be held on Sunday, Feb. 17, from 3pm to 6pm at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center.
Attorney Loida Nicolas Lewis, national chairperson of the U.S. Pinoys for Good Governance and a former attorney general for 10 years of Immigration and Naturalization Services, now USCIS, is the guest speaker.
Lewis is an American entrepreneur who served as chair and CEO of TLC Beatrice International, a $2-billion multinational food company, from 1994-2000. She assumed leadership of one of the largest companies in the U.S. after the death of her husband, Wall Street financier Reginald F. Lewis, who was named by Forbes Magazine as among the 400 wealthiest Americans in 1992.
The public is invited to attend the forum, especially Filipinos and other foreign workers in the CNMI.
Admission is $5. Proceeds will go to the prizes of the winners of the Essay Contest on West Philippine Sea launched by the USP4GG Marianas chapter.
The tickets bear the control numbers and official original signature of the organizer. Participants will have a chance to win different prizes that will be raffled after the forum. Holders of the tickets are advised to keep their tickets.
Tickets are available at the following outlets and sellers: Cargo Express, KWAW Radiocom at the Marianas Business Plaza, Western Union and Islander Mini Mart across PIC in San Antonio, ASKS Beauty Parlor in Garapan, Island Floral and Gifts across Kanoa Hotel in Susupe and H&R Block in Beach Road, Garapan. The US Pinoys for Good Governance is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization based in New York headed by Lewis, national president Rodel Rodis and legal counsel Ted Laguatan.
