Firefighter Jaime N. Cuellar was taken to Superior Court yesterday morning for his initial appearance for alleged domestic violence and illegal possession of marijuana.
Associate Judge Perry B. Inos imposed a bail of $500 cash and $4,500 unsecured bond.
Police arrested the 23-year-old Cuellar early Saturday morning at the Micro Beach parking lot.
Police detective Rudolph C. Sablan stated in his report that a police officer responded to a disturbance at the Micro Beach parking lot on Saturday at 5:22am.
Sablan said when the officer arrived, a woman was seen crying and standing next to her boyfriend, Cuellar.
The girlfriend told the officer that she was there to pick up Cuellar, who was drunk. Police learned that Cuellar allegedly pushed his girlfriend twice, causing her to go off balance.
Cuellar was arrested and transported to the Department of Corrections. A Corrections officer allegedly found on Cuellar's pocket a small baggie containing a leafy substance believed to be marijuana.
