One of the Society for Human Resource Management CNMI Chapter's goals is to proactively provide thought leadership, education, and research to human resource professionals, media, governments, non-governmental organizations, businesses and academic institutions. In that regard, the CNMI SHRM Chapter is pleased to announce its February general membership meeting, which will include a presentation by Attorney General JP San Nicolas. This lunch meeting will be held at the Pacific Island Club's Charley's Cabaret on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, from 11:30am to 1pm.
This presentation is open to the public and will be an invaluable opportunity for employers and employees to learn more about the Commonwealth's attorney general and the Office of the Attorney General: the Commonwealth's law enforcement agency most likely to have contact with the CNMI's businesses.
San Nicolas will present on important topics such as:
-An overview of the Office of the Attorney General
-The Consumer Protection Act's applicability to Commonwealth businesses
-An introduction to the new consumer counsel, assistant attorney general Ghassan Harb
-Other CNMI issues
